COMPLEXING PROPERTIES OF IONITE-POLYMER SORBENT BASED ON UREA, FORMALDEHYDE AND PHENOLSULFOPHTHALEIC ACID

The results of a study of the complexing properties of an ion exchanger - a polymer obtained on the basis of urea, formaldehyde and phenolsulfophthaleic acid - are presented. The composition and structure of the resulting polymer ligand and its complexes with cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) ions are characterized. Using a combination of thermal analysis methods (TGA, DTA) and IR spectroscopy, the thermal stability and composition of the thermal decomposition products of the polymer ligand and its complexes with the above cations were studied. The process of sorption of nickel(II) ion by the polyampholyte ligand CFP was studied based on the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. The possibility of practical use of the polymer-ligand of the polyampholyte structure of CFP as a sorbent of heavy metals when treating wastewater from them is indicated
