Pathogenic Mutation ΔK280 Promotes Hydrophobic Interactions Involving Microtubule‐Binding Domain and Enhances Liquid‐Liquid Phase Separation of Tau (Small 6/2025)
Pathogenic Mutation ΔK280 In article number 2406429, Jinghui Luo, Guanghong Wei, and co-workers studied the effect of pathogenic mutation ΔK280 on the LLPS of tau K18 via multiscale simulations and experiments. Their results demonstrate that ΔK280 mutation can enhance K18 phase separation by promoting β-sheet formation and increasing the PHF6*-involved hydrophobic interactions.
