Preliminary Results of UAV-Borne High-Squint SAR Sub-Aperture Imaging
Unmanned-aerial-vehicle (UAV) borne high-squint synthetic aperture radar (SAR) can flexibly provide two-dimensional (2-D) radar images of the oblique forward areas in advance. In 2024, a high-squint SAR data acquisition experiment using a high-band radar system mounted on a multi-rotor UAV was carried out successfully. The experiment is demonstrated in this paper, including SAR system introduction, experiment design, data processing and imaging results. Finally, a high-squint SAR sub-aperture image is obtained by using the method introduced in this paper.
