UAV inspection system for transmission lines based on laser point cloud
With the development of civil UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) technology and the gradual promotion of the construction of provincial demonstration zones for new power systems, the application of unmanned aerial vehicles in autonomous power line patrol has gradually become possible. We have designed a UAV inspection system based on laser point cloud and webGL technology, including simulation flight, template drawing, and safety distance check, to facilitate operators to draw routes more quickly and conveniently, improve their work efficiency, and design a risk distance calculation method. When the distance between the drone and the point cloud is less than the risk distance, the system will issue a warning. The results indicate that our system improves the speed by 3-4 times compared to traditional manual detection.
