Hybrid Integration Method for High-Speed Weak Target Detection with Distributed Radar

To address the challenge of detecting high-speed weak targets among distributed radar nodes, we propose a longtime hybrid integration method in this paper. Firstly, we establish the distributed radar system model, and the fluctuating signal generated by a target is acquired using this approach. Subsequently, we use the Generalized Radon-Fourier Transform (GRFT) to correct the intra-channel distance walk and Doppler walk caused by the high-speed and high maneuverability characteristics, resulting in coherent integration data. Finally, the Dynamic Programming (DP) method is used to achieve non coherent integration of weak target inter-channel echoes. Simulation results confirm that the proposed hybrid integration approach significantly enhances the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) during extended observation periods, which is beneficial for subsequent detection, tracking, or recognition of the target.
