Research on High-Range and High-Precision Knee Balancer Systems
Traditional total knee arthroplasty relies on the clinical experience of surgeons to assess balance status, making it difficult to determine specific balance conditions. This necessitates experienced surgeons to perform knee surgeries. Therefore, there is a need for an intelligent balancer to assist doctors in surgical measurements, achieving a fully sealed, non-permeable pressure transmission with a broad measurement range from 8 N to 200 N. To address this issue, this paper proposes a flexible Polydimethylsiloxane casting encapsulation to ensure complete sealing and impermeability. It designs an embedded protruding mechanical structure and a sensor gasket integrated structure to solve pressure transmission problems. A BP neural network is utilized to address data calibration and fitting issues, while ZigBee technology is employed for data transmission management. This creates a clinically applicable knee balancer system to assist surgeons in knee surgery diagnosis and treatment.
