Research Progress of Power Cable Fault Detection Technology
Cable is an indispensable energy transmission tool in the power transmission system and various fields of the national economy. After a certain period of use, cables may experience various faults or hidden dangers. Therefore, accurate detection and localization of cable faults are challenging technical issues. This article elaborates on the research progress of current methods for detecting and locating cable fault points. This mainly includes impedance method, partial discharge method, traveling wave method, frequency domain reflection method, time domain reflection method, and extended time-frequency domain reflection method. By introducing the above methods and analyzing the current research status, the problems and challenges that still exist in this field are proposed.
