Virtual Vector-Based Direct Torque Control for Matrix Converter-Fed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor System
The rotating vector (RV) based on matrix converter (MC) has the natural advantage of zero common-mode voltage. This paper proposes a direct torque control (DTC) method based on virtual vector. According to the characteristics that the relative position of the rotating vector changes with the phase of the input voltage and the distribution is not uniform, this paper fixes 12 uniformly distributed vectors in the whole sector, which are synthesized by two adjacent rotating vectors according to different duty cycles in one control period. On this basis, a new virtual vector switch table is established to realize the RV-DTC method. Through simulation research, the results show that the proposed strategy can effectively reduce the motor torque ripple and maintain good steady-state and dynamic performance.
