Implementation of Cooperative End-to-End Traffic Redundancy Elimination with AES encryption

This research aimed to enhance data deduplication and security in cloud environments by integrating Cooperative end-to-end Traffic Redundancy Elimination (TRE) with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The cooperative end-to-end TRE effectively optimized storage utilization and significantly reduced bandwidth consumption by eliminating redundant data segments. This led to cost savings for organizations using a pay-as-you-go cloud model. AES encryption was integrated into this model to address data security concerns, safeguarding sensitive information during transmission without significantly compromising cooperative end-to-end TRE's efficiency. The newly proposed model was compared with the traditional cooperative end-to-end model. Although there was a slight increase in bandwidth usage due to AES encryption, the overall bandwidth savings remained significant. Future research will aim to optimize encryption processes to reduce computational overhead and maximize throughput. Furthermore, delving into sophisticated encryption methods, including hybrid approaches, has the potential to bolster security measures without compromising on bandwidth efficiency. The results of this study highlight the effective combination of collaborative end-to-end TRE and AES encryption, providing a holistic answer to improving data management, transfer, and protection within cloud settings.
