Study on the dynamic response of floating wind farms on semi-submersible platforms
To study the dynamic response of a floating wind farm platform of offshore wind turbine under the combined action of wind and wave currents, an array wind farm based on the UMaine VolturnUS-S platform is established with semi-submersible platform as the research object, and the time-frequency dynamic response characteristics of semi-submersible platform under the action of wind and wave are investigated and according to the radiation/diffraction theory and the finite element method. The results show that the motion trajectory of the floating wind farm platform is symmetric in the direction of wind wave incidence. The amplitude of sway motion is smaller the closer to the wind-wave incidence, and the Share catenary can reduce the low-frequency response in the surge direction.
