A Pre-Processing Method for Ultra-High Resolution Space-Borne Sliding Spotlight SAR Data with BV-PRI and Stepped Frequency Chirps
Sliding-spotlight SAR can realize high resolution. However, as the resolution becomes higher, problems of large echo signal range migration, and large bandwidth signal generating and receiving are introduced. Hence, block varying pulse repetition interval (BV-PRI) system is presented to overcome the large range migration problem, and stepped frequency chirp technology is used to achieve large bandwidth signal. In this paper, a pre-processing method for ultra-high resolution space-borne sliding spotlight SAR data with BV-PRI and stepped frequency chirps is introduced to reconstruct the two-dimensional (2-D) uniformly sampled signal from the raw data by using the steps of azimuth linear shift, range pre-processing and azimuth resampling. Simulation result is presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
