Experimental Study on Wind Turbine Inflow Based on LiDAR
In order to improve the performance of large wind turbines in plateau mountainous areas, a 2 MW horizontal axis wind turbine is taken as the research object. Through field experiment, an MB 300 ground-based laser LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is used to obtain the wind speed, wind direction, temperature, signal-to-noise ratio and other incoming wind parameters at 12 height layers at 2 D (D is the diameter of the wind rotor) in front of the wind turbine. The MB 300 LiDAR uses VAD (velocity azimuth display) technology to measure wind turbine inflow parameters, which is a method of fitting wind profile information to wind speed information. The inflow wind information is obtained by continuously changing the scanning azimuth using the RHI scanning mode at a fixed inclination angle. The accuracy of wind parameters measured by the MB 300 LiDAR over a period of time is verified. The results show that the MB 300 LiDAR works well, has stable performance, and the measurement data is accurate and reliable. The characteristics of the incoming wind speed and direction over a period of time are analyzed. The results show that the incoming wind speed and direction in the area have certain daily variation characteristics. The low wind speed area of incoming flow is mainly concentrated near the ground, and the closer to the ground, the greater the proportion of low wind speed. As the measurement height increases, the impact of ground obstacles weakens, the wind speed gradually increases, and approaches the mainstream wind speed. The measurement of incoming wind parameters of wind turbine in this paper can provide reference for the study of incoming wind characteristics and wind field evaluation in this area.
