Multi-objective Optimization of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Grey Wolf Optimizer
To enhance the operational performance of a certain interior permanent magnet synchronous motor, a multi-objective optimization design method based on the Response Surface Method (RSM) and Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm is proposed. The permanent magnet thickness, width, and air gap length are selected as optimization parameters, with the torque, torque ripple, and cogging torque of a 30 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor as the optimization objectives. The fitting relationship and quadratic polynomial regression model between the optimization parameters and objectives are obtained through the Response Surface Method. The Grey Wolf Optimizer is then utilized for optimization. Finally, a comparison of the motor performance before and after optimization shows that the torque has increased by 6.15%, the torque ripple has decreased by $\mathbf{3 7. 5 1 \%}$, and the cogging torque has decreased by 19.75%.
