Comparison of Errors in Electromechanical Transient Simulation and Electromechanical Electromagnetic Hybrid Simulation Based on Commutation Failure

In this paper, a method of error comparison between two simulation tools, electromechanical transient simulation and electromechanical electromagnetic hybrid simulation, based on commutation failure faults. The comparison method used has never been proposed by scholars before. This method excludes the differences in control system models and compares the response errors of the two to the converter under the output of a shared electromagnetic control system. Based on the comparison results, the reasons for the error are analyzed period by period. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is demonstrated and verified through numerical illustrations.

Abstract

In this paper, a method of error comparison between two simulation tools, electromechanical transient simulation and electromechanical electromagnetic hybrid simulation, based on commutation failure faults. The comparison method used has never been proposed by scholars before. This method excludes the differences in control system models and compares the response errors of the two to the converter under the output of a shared electromagnetic control system. Based on the comparison results, the reasons for the error are analyzed period by period. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is demonstrated and verified through numerical illustrations.
