V2G-based Predictive Control Strategy for On-board Bi-directional Converter Front Stage AC-DC Models
In response to the challenges associated with the existing total harmonic distortion (THD) and secondary ripple present in the voltage of the front-stage totem pole bridgeless power factor correction (PFC) system in vehicle-to-grid (V2G) bidirectional converters, a model predictive control strategy for the V2G system. Firstly, the operating modes of the PFC circuit topology are analysed and a circuit mathematical model is established; based on this foundation, a dual closed-loop controller has been developed by combining the PFC circuit model and the continuous set model predictive control theory with the PI control as the outer loop of the voltage and the duty cycle model predictive control as the internal cycle of the present, and the second ripple is filtered out by the introduction of a Notch Filter in the voltage control circuit to improve the power quality. The findings from the simulation indicate that this approach is more effective in addressing issues related to sluggish system response and elevated total harmonic distortion levels, thereby significantly improving the preamp PFC system’s robustness.
