Research on the EAST Vacuum Remote Control System Based on Web and EPICS
The Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) is the world’s first fully superconducting tokamak, and its vacuum system is one of the most important subsystems within the EAST facility, ensuring a clean and stable plasma discharge environment. To enable remote operation and maintenance of the vacuum system and facilitate physical experiments, this paper introduces a remote operation and maintenance platform based on Web and EPICS technologies for collaborative operation across different locations. The system utilizes JAVA Web technology to automatically convert the desktop application of the vacuum control system into a web-based interface, establishing bidirectional communication with the backend server through the Web Socket protocol for real-time updates of status data and command issuance. To ensure the security of data communication, the system employs a combined RSA and AES algorithm to encrypt the communication link, prevent data leakage. After testing, the system not only achieved data synchronization across multiple terminals with a single development effort, making it universally applicable, but also ensured the stability and security of data communication.
