Research on the Current Settlement Model of the Medium and Long-Term Electricity Market Under Spot Market Conditions

As modern electricity markets continue to evolve, traditional electricity trading settlement models have increasingly revealed some issues. This paper aims to investigate the settlement model for medium and long-term electricity trading within the context of a spot market environment. It proposes the current trading settlement model and optimizes electricity trading strategies by performing adaptive calculations on the sale-side spot market trading volumes. This optimization enables the effective formulation of medium and long-term trading contracts. Additionally, the paper analyzes different scenarios of market participants’ deviation volumes, demonstrating that the current settlement model can effectively capture settlement gains from market deviations and reduce generation costs in the electricity market.
