Model Predictive Torque Control of a Two-Motor Drive with Nine Switch Inverter Supply
The nine-switch inverter (NSI) with two output ports has the advantages of reducing switching devices and reducing system cost. However, the traditional nine-switch inverter model predictive control method has a large fluctuation of torque and flux linkage. This paper proposes a finite control set model predictive torque control strategy (FCS-MTPC). By increasing the number of candidate vector pairs, the torque fluctuation and current harmonics are reduced. The simulation results show that the torque fluctuation range is reduced from 0.3Nm of the traditional method to 0.1Nm; the current total harmonic distortion (THD) is reduced from 16.5 % to 4.21 %. This method is not only applicable to the field of motor control, but also in the field of power conversion.
