Study on the Effect of Rainfall on Polarized Radar ISAR Imaging
Polarized inverse synthetic aperture radar (PolISAR) is capable of all-weather, all-day and high-resolution imaging observation of targets, which is an important means of acquiring information about space targets, but the wave propagation effect under complex atmospheric environments may have a significant impact on the imaging results. This paper establishes the ISAR imaging model of fully polarized radar under complex rainfall conditions, analyzes the polarized electromagnetic wave amplitude attenuation and phase error caused by the propagation effect under rainfall environment. The theoretical derivation yields the effect of rainfall on PolISAR imaging. The experimental results verify the correctness of the ISAR imaging model under complex rainfall conditions.
