Application of the Superposition Principle of Axis Vector Synthesis in Two-Phase Stepper Motors

Modulation using SVPWM in two-phase stepper motors can achieve precise control and efficient driving of stepper motors. In this paper, a simple SVPWM modulation method for two-phase stepper motors is proposed. The article introduces the superposition theorem, which decomposes the target vector into axial state space vectors, so that the target vector becomes the sum of axial vector superposition, and the duty cycle of each switching device can be calculated directly, which is a simple method. The final comparison of experimental results shows that this paper can achieve the same function as the traditional SVPWM, which proves the feasibility of this method.

Abstract

Modulation using SVPWM in two-phase stepper motors can achieve precise control and efficient driving of stepper motors. In this paper, a simple SVPWM modulation method for two-phase stepper motors is proposed. The article introduces the superposition theorem, which decomposes the target vector into axial state space vectors, so that the target vector becomes the sum of axial vector superposition, and the duty cycle of each switching device can be calculated directly, which is a simple method. The final comparison of experimental results shows that this paper can achieve the same function as the traditional SVPWM, which proves the feasibility of this method.
