Research on the Simulation Method of Dual Polarization Phased Array Weather Radar Echo
In order to efficiently simulate different weather processes in advance to provide higher performance and better algorithm scanning scheme for actual radar equipment, this paper constructs a dual polarization phased array weather radar echo simulation method. The WSR88D weather radar PPI volume scanning base data, including reflectivity, velocity, spectral width, differential reflectivity, differential phase and correlation coefficient, are bilinearly interpolated into CAPPI data as a three-dimensional weather field, analyzed for the different elevation angles of the WSR88D and the simulated radar in volume scanning mode (0.44°, 1.68°, 2.33°, and 3.1°) of the base data of WSR88D and simulated radar in volume scan mode, and the results show that the simulated base data is close to that of WSR88D.
