Research on wideband patch antennas based on dual elliptical structures
This paper presents a wideband microstrip patch radiation antenna based on a dual-elliptical structure, utilizing FR4 as the dielectric substrate material and copper as the grounding and radiating metal. This design offers the advantages of ease of fabrication and low cost. Through analysis and design in high-frequency structural simulation software, it is concluded that the antenna can operate in two frequency bands: 2.9-8.1 GHz and 9.9-18.0 GHz, with relative bandwidths of 94.5% and 58.1%, respectively. Within these operating bands, the Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) is less than 2, meeting the design requirements of antennas in practical engineering applications. Furthermore, this antenna demonstrates significant advantages in medical applications for high-speed data transmission and wireless communication in remote monitoring devices.
