Research on Durham University’s Solar Panel Car Battery Performance of 2023 World Solar Car Competition Based on SOC-OCV Curve
As an important application field of new energy technology, solar vehicles are constantly developing in the direction of practicality and civilianization, and batteries as a very important part of solar vehicles, research on them can optimize the performance of solar vehicles and improve the adaptability of solar vehicles under various conditions. This study draws the OCV curve of the battery based on the real-time remote sensing data of the WSC2023 World Solar Car Competition, and reflects the SOC curve of the battery competition. After that, data analysis, correction and curve fitting techniques are used to improve the SOC-OCV correlation, and the results are verified according to the laboratory data and manufacturer specifications. Analyze differences to identify optimization paths and suggest future directions to improve battery performance, reliability, and SOC estimation accuracy for solar vehicles operating under real-world conditions.
