Effective Reduction of Torque Fluctuations in Arc Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
This paper addresses the challenge associated with arc permanent magnet synchronous motors (arc PMSM), particularly the issue of significant torque fluctuations caused by side-end forces and winding asymmetry. In order to address this situation, a method is proposed for modifying the phase sequence arrangement of the stator windings of the arc permanent magnet synchronous motor and for optimizing the shaping of the motor’s side ends. The method has been demonstrated to be effective, with a reduction in torque fluctuation from 9.07% to $\mathbf{3. 6 4 \%}$. During the research process, the specific approach to changing the phase sequence arrangement and the technical aspects of side-end shaping optimization were elucidated in detail, and the effectiveness and feasibility of the method were strongly substantiated through a comparative analysis of experimental data.
