Adaptive Cyclic Wiener Filter for Repeater Jamming Suppression in Radar System
In complex interference environments, interference identification and suppression technology are key to ensuring the normal operation of radar and are an important direction for the development of future radar, with broad research prospects. This paper detailedly explores the effects of interrupted-sampling repeater jamming(ISRJ) on radar system operations. By capturing and retransmitting radar signals at specific times, this interference approach mimics real target signals, complicating the radar’s ability to distinguish between actual targets and interference. Initially, the paper developed models for radar echoes and interference signals and analyzed their cyclostationary characteristics. Based on these characteristics, a cyclic Wiener filter was designed to effectively counter the interference. Furthermore, this paper derived formulas for updating the coefficients of the adaptive cyclic Wiener filter, improving the efficiency of coefficient calculations. Simulation analyses of interrupted-sampling repeater jamming with different parameters confirmed the effectiveness of the cyclic Wiener filter in mitigating this type of interference.
