Recomendações curriculares para o ensino e aprendizagem da estatística e probabilidade na Austrália, Brasil e Portugal
In this paper, the objective is to present an analysis of the curricular recommendations for teaching and learning statistics and probability present in mathematics curricula, for the age group of 6 to 14 years, in Australia, Brazil and Portugal. The aim is to verify whether statistical and probabilistic literacy are included in these curricula. Official websites from Ministries of Education in several countries were used to map the curriculum documents. Documentary research was developed with an analytical process with a reflective and interpretative approach. The results show that the curricular recommendations analyzed present similarities with the results of research in the area of Statistical Education, however, in the Australian and Portuguese context, there is a direct intention in relation to the development of statistical literacy and probabilistic literacy, which contribute to the development of critical and creative thoughts. In the Brazilian context, the list of objects of knowledge and skills does not consider important aspects of these forms of literacy, in addition to not promoting the development of gradual and increasing statistical and probabilistic reasoning, nor does it increase criticality.
