Analysis of the Application Characteristics of Multi-Beam Lens Antennas in Space TT&C Systems
Traditional multi-beam antennas, such as parabolic and phased array antennas, often suffer from limitations like low beam steering flexibility, restricted coverage angles, significant beam discrepancies, and complex, costly phase shift networks. With the future trend of space telemetry, tracking and command systems moving towards full spatial coverage and multi-target capabilities, this paper explores and analyzes the application characteristics of novel multi-beam lens antennas in space TT&C systems. The study examines the relationship between the aperture and radiation efficiency, weight, flexibility, and applicable frequency bands of multi-beam lens antennas. Additionally, it proposes typical TT&C application scenarios for lens antennas, offering theoretical and technical references to support the continuous tracking of a large number of targets under conditions of full spatial coverage in future systems.
