Research on the Product Design Process of Lighting Systems Based on the N-F-R-P Model of Systems Engineering
An important design method used in the product design process of lighting systems is the N-F-R-P process model based on systems engineering. This model employs a positive design implementation mechanism composed of four interrelated activities: stakeholder needs capture, function analysis, requirement analysis, and design physics. It aims to start from "stakeholder needs capture" to gather the needs and expectations of stakeholders; then, through "function analysis" and "requirement analysis", it transforms the abstract needs of stakeholders into the functional structure of the product and technically feasible requirements; finally, in the "design physics" process, it maps the functional domain to the physical domain, and allocates requirements to the physical structure, and derives the optimal solution through trade-off analysis of the physical structure.
