Research on Application of GIS Spatial Analysis Technology in Site Selection of Airborne Site

The site selection of airborne field is an important part of airborne operations. Selecting a suitable location quickly and accurately for airborne operations makes it convenient for airborne combats. This paper mainly adopts digital terrain analysis technology to obtain information on spatial location, distribution, patterns, formation and evolution of geographical objects from spatial data, and combines air and ground wind speed, cloud type and cloud cover, atmospheric visibility and other meteorological conditions in the airdrop site. Terrain conditions such as site size, slope, water system, vegetation, road conditions, concealment and mobility, and anti-airborne obstacles are also considered for the selection of appropriate airborne locations to provide the basis for airborne operations.
