Design of an Elderly Anti-Loss System
With the wave of an aging society, the elderly population in China continues to expand rapidly, resulting in the situation of elderly people going missing quickly becoming a social issue that involves every family. It is especially urgent to establish an efficient system for prevention of elderly disability, considering that the elderly are more likely to lose their way due to physiological changes such as physical frailty and reduced memory. At the heart of this system is the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller, which integrates the GPS positioning technology to capture and display information collected in real time on an OLED screen, tracking the location of the elderly. The system uses advanced wireless communication technology to link the location information with a cloud server through the WiFi module, enhancing the safety protection network. As a page, family members or guardians can see the moving route of the elderly at any time on the map. The system also carefully planned multiple health detection auxiliary functions, such as heart rate detection, fall detection, temperature detection and used the high-precision ADXL345 sensor to capture the abnormal signal accurately. As soon as these signals surpass the set safety thresholds, an alarm is immediately triggered to inform the guardian and meanwhile updates the location information on the map to enable an early emergency response. The built-in one-key rescue feature on the system gives the elderly a simple and direct channel to seek help, which greatly enhances the emergency response capabilities of the anti-lost system. This system for the elderly not only allows for remote location and anti-loss monitoring, but also integrates health monitoring, allowing family members to comprehensively and in real time understand the safety and health status of the elderly, building a solid defense line for their safe life.
