Influência da utilização de fibras metálica e sintéticas na resistência do concreto
The Study Aims To Present The Influence Of The Application Of Synthetic And Metallic Fibers On The Mechanical Resistances Of Portland Cement Concrete For Different Ages. The Method Adopted Consists Of Conducting Compressive Strength Tests, Diametral Compression Tensile Strength Tests, And Flexural Tensile Strength Tests On Laboratory-Molded Specimens Following Current Standards. The Tests Were Carried Out On Four Mixtures With Different Fractions Of The Mentioned Fibers In Their Composition For The Ages Of 7, 14, And 28 Days. An Increase Was Observed For All Mixtures Of Approximately 30% In Compressive Strength And Diametral Compression Tensile Strength, While For Flexural Tensile Strength The Increase Was About 22%. The Results Indicate That There Is No Intervention From The Fibers In The Values Of Compressive Strength And Diametral Compression Tensile Strength. However, It Was Observed That The Addition Of Metallic Fibers Caused An Influence On The Results Of The Flexural Tensile Strength Tests At The Age Of 28 Days With An Increase Of About 14%.
