Sustentabilidade e os sistemas construtivos para Habitação de Interesse Social em Cuiabá-MT

The search for sustainable building materials and systems is becoming increasingly necessary. When it comes to Social Housing (HIS), there is standardization through the use of traditional materials and construction techniques, which do not take into account the climatic characteristics of the location. These materials and construction systems do not provide thermal comfort to the user and do not contribute to sustainability. Therefore, this research is justified by the need to understand building systems, considering the possible improvement in thermal comfort that sustainable building materials and systems can provide. The aim of this article is to analyze sustainable building materials and systems that contribute to the thermal comfort and sustainability of social housing in the context of the city of Cuiabá. The work is a literature review, with research carried out on scientific articles that address issues of thermal comfort, the climate of the city of Cuiabá and sustainable construction materials and techniques. Two building materials/systems were analyzed, Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) and soil cement brick. It was possible to see, in view of the climate of the city of Cuiabá, that these materials contribute to improving thermal comfort and sustainability, although more studies are needed in the area and there are challenges to be faced, such as housing policy, which hinders the use of these materials.
