A Study on Teaching and Learning Model of Chinese Culture in Secondary Schools Reflecting Changes in Educational Paradigm
This study recognized the changes in the Korean educational paradigm and designed a culture teaching and learning model for middle and high school Chinese language subjects in line with these changes. The purpose of the study is to develop a culture teaching and learning model for ‘cultural experience-centered cultural education’ rather than ‘knowledge-centered cultural education’ in order to cultivate students into global citizens with balanced perspectives and values.<br/> The study applied the cultural education guidelines of the Chinese language curriculum for middle and high schools and theories related to cultural education to derive categories and methodology for Chinese cultural education. Based on the categories and methodology of Chinese cultural education, the teaching and learning contents and methods of the current middle and high school Chinese textbook, including e-book ‘culture area’ were analyzed, and the current status of cultural education in middle and high school Chinese language subjects was examined. Furthermore, through analysis of digital textbooks for other subjects, ways to utilize digital-based education infrastructure were explored. Through this process, the cultural education goal for middle and high school Chinese language subjects was finally set, the teaching and learning contents and methods were derived accordingly, and a culture teaching and learning model for middle and high school Chinese language subjects was designed. We hope the results of this study may provide a foundation for systematizing and innovating cultural education for middle and high school Chinese language subjects, and contribute to the realization of educational policies.
