Enhanced Rectangular Patch Antenna with Assorted Slots: Optimized Design for 60GHz (V-Band) Utilizations
This study introduces a novel microstrip antenna optimized for V-band applications. The antenna employs a modified rectangular shape featuring a radiating rectangular monopole, achieving resonance at 60 GHz with an impressive return loss of -44.06 dB. The design incorporates interconnected rectangles with 4 diminutive circle patches arranged in a T shape configuration, fabricated on a substrate dielectric Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 measuring 0.254 mm thick. Operating within a frequency range of 58.35-61.65 GHz, the antenna's performance characteristics, including 50 ohms resistance and 1 ohm reactance, were simulated using HFSS software. Comprehensive analysis includes H-plane and E-plane 2-Dimensional radiation patterns, VSWR, and reflection coefficients, highlighting its robust diversity and suitability for 5G, mobile networks, and wireless technology applications.
