A Comprehensive Study on Challenges and Solutions in Massive MIMO-Detection Methods
In today's wireless communication networks, high-data-rate transmission requires ubiquitous links to high-quality multimedia services. 5G wireless networks user in a new digital age for use cases such as URLLC, eMBB, and mMTC, providing minimum latency and good data rates for a wide range of interconnected devices. The increasing deployment and testing of 5G wireless technology exposes its limitations and necessitates clarification of its issues. 5G base station antenna arrays use Massive-Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) technology. Massive-MIMO uses spatial multiplexing to boost network capacity and spectral efficiency (SE). To get the best performance in spatially correlated channels, advanced detectors must balance efficiency and complexity. The additional antennas in huge MIMO systems complicate signal processing for transmitted signal detection. This review paper discusses detection approaches for 5G massive MIMO implementation. We analyze various techniques and challenges among present solutions, weighing the benefits and drawbacks. This paper focuses on solutions and unsolved research relating to massive MIMO system detection of signals for 5G and the next generation of wireless networks.
