Early Enhancements within IoT Technology Integration for Ecological, Security, and Economic Auditing in Underground Mines

Underground mining safety and environmental monitoring have all benefited greatly from the widespread application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The many sensors used in mining operations are categorized by usage, and this article covers the various connected and unconnected connectivity options accessible, along with the network structures that may be helpful in underground mines. It also describes the fundamental structure of the mine Internet of Things (IoT) system, which is based on a widely accepted three-layer IoT architecture. This article offers a thorough analysis of current advancements in IoT applications for monitoring the environmental factors in underground mines, such as When extracting, one must take into account the amount of humidity, heat, air conditioning, water in the soil, bottom assistance, and earthquake activity. Usage of the Internet of Things has additionally been developed for industrial safety management, personnel and equipment location, and fire and hazard detection. This article discusses the main obstacles to the widespread use of Internet of Things equipment in subterranean mines, including data management issues, limited battery life, increased investment requirements, and disruptions to operations. To enhance the feasibility and efficacy of connected devices in beneath-the-earth mines, more research into advanced advancements like autonomous detectors, Internet of Things requirements, and underground wireless connection is required.
