Piloting Performance Investigation in Virtual Reality Piloting Simulations
This study investigates the relationship between task difficulty and performance outcomes in virtual reality (VR) piloting tasks. Utilizing data from simulated flight sessions, we analyzed whether significant statistical differences exist in key performance metrics across varying levels of task difficulty. The results reveal that as task difficulty increases, performance variability, particularly in parameters like localizer error, glideslope error, and airspeed error, becomes more pronounced, indicating a direct correlation between task complexity and performance outcomes.
