Tunable Enhanced Second‐Harmonic Generation in InP‐InAsP Quantum Well Nanomembranes (Small 39/2024)

Quantum Well Nanomembranes In article number 2307512, Zhicheng Su and co-workers explored the tunable second-harmonic generation (SHG) in InP-InAsP quantum well nanomembranes. Up to 100 times enhancement of SHG is achieved in optical communication bands. The enhanced SHG wavelengths can be tuned by changing the quantum well composition. These findings provide a strategy for manipulating the light conversion in semiconductor nanostructures for on-chip optical applications.

Abstract

Quantum Well Nanomembranes In article number 2307512, Zhicheng Su and co-workers explored the tunable second-harmonic generation (SHG) in InP-InAsP quantum well nanomembranes. Up to 100 times enhancement of SHG is achieved in optical communication bands. The enhanced SHG wavelengths can be tuned by changing the quantum well composition. These findings provide a strategy for manipulating the light conversion in semiconductor nanostructures for on-chip optical applications.
