The plan4.energy Approach for Planning Support for Positive Energy Districts

This paper introduces a software solution for planning support of Positive Energy Districts (PEDs), highlighting the challenges of interdisciplinary planning and stakeholder involvement. The development of the software tool, plan4.energy , addresses these challenges by providing stakeholders with accessible means to assess project variants and understand key planning levers. Based upon a database of over 300,000 simulation results and a user-friendly interface, plan4.energy facilitates informed decision-making for PED planning, enhancing the integration of renewable energy sources and optimizing system-level performance.
