Optimization Of Peer-to-Peer Energy Trading in Microgrids: A Multi-Criteria Approach Incorporating Dynamic Pricing, User Preferences, Load Combinations, and RES
Emphasis on increasing renewable energy (RE) integration at the household level, researchers are showing more interest in exploring innovative solutions beyond traditional battery storage. This shift is driven by the need to optimize RE integration and enhance the economic feasibility of managing surplus energy. In order to manage excess energy, this study discusses the efficient trading of excess energy using a rule-based algorithm in a microgrid environment as a more efficient substitute for traditional storage. The paper suggests a peer-to-peer (P2P) network that includes a rule-based algorithm for dynamic pricing mechanisms that consider peer preferences while trading energy and can handle different load combinations to improve the dependability of such energy trading systems and increase income through surplus energy. Through a comprehensive case study, this paper illustrates the feasibility and advantages of the proposed scheme, offering insights into the practical implementation of a sustainable and reliable Microgrid system incorporating renewable energy sources.
