Fault Riding Through Control Strategy of Two-Level Photovoltaic Converters Based on SMC

To optimize the control performance of fault riding through of photovoltaic converters, on the basis of the topology of two-level photovoltaic converter systems, and a model of photovoltaic converter systems is established in this paper. The technology of decoupled double synchronous reference frame - phase locked loop (DDSRF-PLL) is designed to detect the phase of dropped voltage. A fault riding through control strategy of two-level photovoltaic converters based on sliding mode controller (SMC) is proposed, which can quickly reduce active power and increase reactive power during low-voltage riding through (LVRT). Meantime, the transient response speed and performance of the converter is improved. Finally, a simulation model of LVRT control system of the converter is constructed using Matlab software. Through simulation analyses, it can be concluded that the proposed strategy takes approximately a hundred ms to complete the instruction response.
