Integrated MPTA Control Framework for Hybrid Electric Vehicle Performance using Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation

The world is fighting against global warming and the depletion of resources. The Adoption of hybrid technology by the automotive industry is playing an important role in making transportation sustainable, with much fewer carbon emissions. Hybrid technology will play a phenomenal role in shaping the future of transportation with ongoing research and innovation. The betterment obtained in the performance of a hybrid electric vehicle can diminish the environmental dilemmas, hence bringing about a justifiable impact and thus becoming viable for the future of transportation. The MTPA based field-oriented control should be applied for efficient operation of PMSMs as traction drives for HEVs. The proposed braking energy regenerative control strategy in the model of the hybrid electric vehicle is simulated by PSIM 2022 software. Results suggest that the proposed control strategy can aptly manage this process of braking energy regeneration leading to improved fuel efficiency and appearance. The research is conducted in a bid to demonstrate the ability of advanced control strategies towards optimization of energy management processes involved in hybrid electric vehicles; this is done for a sustainable mobility future. Finally, this paper is a positive input into the continuing development of more sustainable and efficient hybrid electric vehicles. It hence comes out as a workable solution in the transport future.
