IoT Based Battery Management System for Electric Vehicle
This paper demonstrates an IoT based Battery Management System (BMS) designed for hybrid charging applications, combining solar and AC power sources to boost energy optimization and consistency. It also monitors the various parameters of battery like Charging status, Battery Health. The system harnesses solar energy through photovoltaic (PV) panels during daylight hours and switches to an AC/DC converter for charging during periods of insufficient sunlight. Key features include intelligent power source selection, efficient energy conversion, and advanced battery monitoring to ensure optimal charging and longevity. The BMS employs real-time data analytics and adaptive algorithms to manage the charging and discharging cycles, maintaining battery health, and maximizes energy utilization. This dual-source approach not only reduces dependence on the grid but also supports sustainable energy practices, making it ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Experimental results demonstrate the system’s effectiveness in maintaining consistent battery performance and extending operational life under varying environmental conditions.
