Day-Ahead Scheduling for Microgrid Considering Battery Degradation Rate and Temperature Constraints
Nowadays, the integration of battery energy storage systems (BESSs) is pivotal in the optimization of microgrid. However, in addition to being constrained by costs and parameters, battery scheduling is also influenced by states of charge (SOC) values and temperature. This paper constructs a day-ahead scheduling model for a microgrid, where the BESSs include both lithium-ion batteries and lead-acid batteries. The batteries model considers degradation rates at different SOC levels and the operational constraints imposed by temperature. The model is addressed utilizing mixed-integer linear programming (MILP). The case study results indicate that the battery discharges within different SOC ranges due to the limitations of depreciation rates, and in summer, high temperatures restrict battery scheduling.
