Calculation of Dynamic Ion Flow Field in DC GIL Based on Hermite Interpolation Basis Functions
Inside the DC GIL cavity, due to the existence of insulators, a dielectric interface is generated, resulting in the accumulation of insulator surface charges, which distorts the electric field distribution along the insulator surface, reduces the surface flashover voltage, and affects the stable operation of DC GIL. Therefore, the study of DC ion flow field during the accumulation of DC GIL insulator surface charge is of great significance to inhibit the accumulation of insulator surface charge and improve the insulation performance of DC GIL. In this paper, Hermite upflow finite element method is used to simulate and calculate the influence of insulator surface charge on DC GIL dynamic ion flow field and the distortion characteristics of insulator surface electric field, which provides a basis for the study of insulator morphology and surface modification.
