IoT Intrusion Detection System for Vehicle and Emission Monitoring: Enhancing Cybersecurity in Connected Transportation

The main purpose of creating an IoT Intrusion Detection System for vehicles is to detect the discharge from car engines. The main objectives of the IoT Intrusion Detection System are protection from cyber threats, improvement in transportation security, and accurate data discharge. The main parts of the IoT Intrusion Detection System are a Centralized Monitoring System, a special intrusion detection system, and vehicle emission monitoring devices these devices are used to detect vehicle emissions. This can be done by preprocessing the vehicle information by using machine learning that can be used to design the vehicles build a vehicle mechanism and identify the cyberattacks. The scientists have identified, at the end the employment of IoT Intrusion Detection Systems in both the automobile industry and pollution control fields. To maintain the vehicle information safe we use authentication mechanisms, network division, and secure communication protocols based on the secured data transmission channels. The present ongoing research presents a novel approach to overcoming the cybersecurity problems of vehicle emission tracking systems. The IoT Intrusion Detection System is used to boost network security and data integrity. This helps us to increase the confidence of the people regarding the exact discharge for emission control measures.
