Research on Precise Matching and Expression Techniques of Railway BIM Models with 3D Geographic Information Scenes

The simulation and analysis of railway lines and their surrounding environments can be conducted using BIM+GIS technology. However, during the process of converting BIM model information into semantic scenes, the extensibility remains insufficient, leading to issues like information redundancy or loss in some BIM models after conversion. A coordinate transformation method is proposed to address this problem, converting the relative coordinates of the railway BIM model into GIS geographic coordinates. Additionally, a matching method that considers the complexity of railway scenes has been designed to achieve precise matching of railway BIM models in different 3D scenes. Based on the constructed object importance evaluation model, multi-scale expression of symbolized 3D railway scenes is achieved. This method effectively resolves issues such as model floating or submergence, meets the needs for exploring 3D scene elements and precise visual positioning at large scales, and also accommodates the application requirements for lightweight, on-demand loading of railway BIM models. The research results solve the technical challenges of precise matching and expression between railway BIM models and 3D GIS geographic scenes, offering significant theoretical and practical engineering value.
