Mechanical Analysis of Semi-rigidly Connecting Curtain Wall Keel Frame
Connection between bolts and corners is an important jointing connection for the curtain wall keel frame. Usually, the rigid joints are adopted in simulation computation of curtain wall keel frame structures without consideration of the influence of semi-rigid connection of bolts and corners. The initial rotational stiffness of connection between corners and bolts is calculated, the semi-rigidity of joints is simulated by using two-way spring elements with variable rigidity and zero length. The finite element model of semi-rigidly connected curtain wall keel frame is established, and the comparisons between the rigidly connected and semi-rigidly connected curtain wall keel frames with the same boundary conditions are carried out. The numerical results indicate that the semi-rigid connection reduces the stiffness and stability of the curtain wall keel frame, but it reduces the impact of stress on the curtain keel frame.
