DC-DC Converter with High Gain Topology for Induction Heating Application

An essential component of today's effective usage of renewable energy sources is the power electronic converter. Furthermore, a high gain boost converter finds use in emerging sectors such as communications, fuel cells, electrical vehicle technology, and multiple DC UPS. In this context, an efficient and economically viable Dual High Gain DC-DC Converter (HGDC-DCC) is suggested. The reduced switch count of the suggested HGDC-DC topology is an advantage over the voltage multiplier design. In the MATLAB environment, a comparison between the voltage multiplier circuit (VMC) and the HGDCDCC is made to demonstrate. MOSFET switches, two and three, are used to implement HGDCDCC. The results show that, in comparison to other implemented topologies such voltage multiplier circuit and two switch boost converter topology, HGDCDCC with dual input voltage of 24V is considered to acquire up to a gain of around 5. Additionally, the suggested topology ensures THD in 0.38% or less.
