Proposal of Pulse Wave Extraction Method Based on BSS with Pulse Wave Selection Function

We have previously proposed the Pulse Wave(PW) extraction methods using Blind Source Separation(BSS) which is based on the separation of PW and noise from two observed signals containing both PW and noise. However, in this method, PW selection from two series of separated signals is performed visually. In this case, human intervention is required for PW selection. Therefore, this method cannot be put to practical use. In this study, we propose a PW extraction method based on BSS with the function to select PW using the kurtosis and skewness of the separated signals. In this paper, we evaluate only the accuracy of PW selection of the proposed method by computer simulation, because PW separation accuracy by BSS has already published.
